As always, Pusanweb needs help from community members in order to grow. Help can be in the form of managing a portion of the site or becoming a regular contributor who produces text, photo, and/or video content. Depending on Pweb's financial situation, managers and contributors do receive special web perks (free site hosting, email accounts, etc.) and may receive a small amount of monetary compensation, but for the foreseeable future, TeamPweb members are unlikely to receive anything close to what they really deserve. The primary incentive, however, is that you have a great forum for you creative endeavors and get lots of practice developing your web building skills. Below is a list of some of the positions we hope to fill in the near future. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, please complete the form at the bottom of this page.
Thanks,Jeff Lebow Pusanweb General Manager
Managers
Living Section Manager - This is a big one. The Living Section Manager would oversee the creation and maintenance of guides, map, the Yellow Pages, FAQ's, and Q&A. I'd estimate that it would take at least 5 hours/week and would require at least a basic foundation of web building skills
Links Manager - We will be doing an overhaul of the links section in February and March, so at least several hours/week would be required early on. Once things are renovated, it shouldn't take more than an hour or two/week to add new links, choose featured links, and trim dead links. Some web building skills would be necessary, but could probably be learned by a willing novice.
Events Manager - Not a lot of web building skills required, but definitely some familiarity with Korean language and an enjoyment of doing online and offline research to stay on top of performances, concerts, festivals, meetings and other events taking place.
Nightlife Manager - Some basic web building skills required, but more importantly a willingness to spend countless hours 'researching' and reporting on the Busan nightlife scene. We're looking for flavorful, but fairly neutral reporting.
Contributors
Digital Photo Journalists - A DPJ needs to be able to get their digital photos online in a Pweb format friendly way. Some text to go with photos would be great, but not necessary. We're looking for photos that would be of general interest to the community, as opposed to personal photo albums.
Place Guide Writers - No web skill required, but decent writings skills a must. We're looking for guides that contain up-to-date, useful information as well as flavorful descriptions.
