1st Busan International Mayor's Cup Surfing Games

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 2 - SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6
VENUE: HAEUNDAE BEACH, BUSAN SOUTH KOREA

 

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:
 
-        During the competition period the SFK is offering short surfing lectures (Sep 3, 4, 6) as part of the citizen participation program. (Open for anyone willing to join, including visitors)

THE COMPETITION:

*Divisions include beginner to pro level as well as foreign men’s/women's division. Also

Longboard and bodyboard division.
*1st prize for Korean open division is a Honda Zoomer and $1,000

*1st prize for Korean women’s division is a surfboard and $1,000

*1st prize for International Men's division $2,000
*1st prize for International Women's division $1,000

*1st prize for beginner division is a surfboard.

* Prizes will be awarded to 3rd place.
*All 1st place winners are given priority placement on Korean National Surf Team.

NOTE: International participants are only allowed to surf in the International division this year. 

*If you don't have your own board, boards will be made available on days of competition 
 

SPONSORSHIP AND REGISTRATION:
*The competition is sponsored by the mayor and other sponsors are as yet unconfirmed. The event is sanctioned by the SFK.

*Entry fee covers insurance and comes with lots of free stuff, great souvenirs and lunch for

Sept 5th/6th.
 

Registration and fees:

Payment should be completed as follows:
General/International participants: $30 per person

Payment can be made via bank transfer to the following account…

- Applications should be sent by August 15 (Saturday), 2009 to the SFK executive office.
- Registration should be complete by 6 pm, September 3 (Thursday), 2009 to the head office. To register, copy and paste the following form and email to [email protected]

*This year looks to be the largest competition yet - no matter what your skill level it is guaranteed to be an amazing experience so even if you can't quite stand up yet or can rip like the pros, come out and have a good time. Enjoy the essence of Korean surfing culture.
