Hello Jeff! This is a message from Canada. What luck it is that I just happened to check out Pusanweb on the day that it is scheduled to go offline! Endless thanks for creating the invaluable resource that was known as Pusanweb. It helped us, as we struggled through the sometimes confusing world of South Korea. It was also a window that was very much appreciated by those back home. A window into a foreign world that many could not begin to imagine. Those who give so much of themselves, as yourself, are special. Thank you again, and good luck in whatever it is that happens in Jeffworld from this point onwards. And as for me and my contributions to Worldbridges, I am still thinking of it. I got back to Canada 2 weeks ago. My multimedia photojournalism was hindered slightly by the fact that I was robbed of my camera and tape recorder in India. I still want to put something together, but I am now involved in the harsh reality of looking for a job in Vancouver. I'm broke, homeless and no longer 'special'. No more $40 an hour jobs-hired over the phone. Reality check. Anyway, thanks again for all the work. Give my love to Shiela. I miss you guys. Love Darren

Dear Jeff: Thank you for all your work over the last couple of years. You have provided information to seekers on a consistent basis. I have referenced PusanWeb for various pieces of information and never been disappointed. As your co-worker and neighbour, I also want to publicly acknowledge that you are an incredibly generous and kind person; the type of person one would want to have as a co-worker and neighgour. It is sad to say goodbye to PusanWeb and to you, but it is also heartening to know that we'll remain connected via the internet. Thank you for being the consummate webmaster, a wonderful friend and a great person in general.

Pusan and the international community owe a huge debt to Jeff Lebow, PUSANWEB Publisher. With humor and consistency, he has served up slices of life in one of the prettiest, most exotic spots that exist. He has left his mark. He will be sorely missed! Let us hope to hear more from you. Best wishes, and we hope you return!

Mr. PusanWeb: Hey man, I have a question for ya. Like, when you say the Konglish thing is updated "almost daily", like, does that mean every second day or every third day or what, man? Also, the counter page really rocks dude ... like, all those numbers and all those people and cyberspace and stuff ... it's like ... a cosmic amalgamation of 3 dimensions and then some man ... way out there ... keep the numbers rolling in, man.

How delightful to discover Pusanweb on Kimsoft.com's Korea Webweekly! I first saw Pusan as a reporter in 1967, and later married a girl from there. I returned on assignments as often as possible while with Stars and Stripes in the 1970s and 80s. How I miss it! It is great to know that foreigners are still "enchanted" by that beautiful port city. I'll be a frequent reader! Regards, Butch Wehry, author, THE YOBO, and SEOUL.

I finished two years in Pusan on February 17th, 1998. Came home to Southern California, and now that I'm home I find myself missing Pusan and Mun Hyun dong. Life on Friday and Saturday nights here is not the same without a late night at DALLAS.

I think I would enjoy working in Pusan for a year. I guess devaluation has teachers fleeing to?-Taiwan.I worked for Berlitz in Bkk-but they say they don't write letters of recommendation, but will respond to querries only from other Berlitz branches. That makes it hard to get a job by email. I would be grateful for advice. Is anyone willing to critique a resume? I am: [email protected]
