The eco-friendly 2009 Haeundae Sand Festival will take place on Haeundae Beach from May 29 to June 1. This is the fifth year of the festival, and there are 17 different programs planned including sand sculpture, a sand mime performance, a beach volleyball contest and a sand wrestling contest. The festival's mottos are "See Sand," "Feel Sand," and "Enjoy Sand." The "Challenge!! Sand Guinness" offers sand castle building, hula hoops and a web-footed walking contest, while "Challenge!! I am a sand artist" gives guests the chance to make your own art using sand.
