Plot. When one of their own, Reuben Tishkoff builds a hotel with known casino owner Willy Banks, the last thing he ever wanted was to get cut out of the deal personally by the loathsome Banks. Banks' attitude even goes so far as to finding the amusement in Tishkoff's misfortune when the double crossing lands Reuben in the hospital because of a heart attack. However, Danny and his crew won't stand for Banks and what he's done to a friend. Uniting with their old enemy Terry Benedict, who himself has a vendetta against Banks, the crew is out to pull off a major plan. One that will unfold on the night Banks' newest hot spot opens up, when the crew is out to bankrupt one of the city's most despised businessmen. But they're not in this for the money, but for the revenge.
Well if you like films that show allot and makes you cheer for the bad guys, then this will be the film for you. The simple plot of this film is revenge. You will love how they tie it all together.
Look for a small role by Eddie Izzard, who with this and, "The Riches" is slowly becoming an actor that I will start watching. The way he inserts his help here reminds you of the anti-heroes, hero.
If you like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, or Matt Dammon, this this film you will most certainly like. The characters played by Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta Jones in the last two episodes are not in this film, and to be honest, they needed to be. You see Pitt and Clooney talk about them both throughout the film, but their lack of being in this plot, I thought brought the film down.
Overall its a great Summer 2007 "Popcorn" film that needs to been seen at least twice ,to see if you got it all.
Grade. B+
Willie Banks: This town might have changed, but not me. I know people highly invested in my survival, and they are people who really know how to hurt in ways you can't even imagine.
Danny Ocean: Well, I know all the guys that you'd hire to come after me, and they like me better than you.
