ON PIFF

It's disheartening to see that the biggest vote getter from the pusanweb PIFF poll is the "I have no interest in attending PIFF" category.  I hate to toss the word "philistines" around like a frisbee on an Australian beach, but meafuckingculpa. 

Morons.

PIFF is the most important film fest in Asia, one of the best in the world, and it takes place in your own back yard.  For you to write it off as rubbish proves your own ignorance.

And speaking of such, where is the "Pusan Movie Guy?"  I seem to remember some mouthbreather of that or a similiar handle posting all over this site last summer.  Sure, he (or she) posted a glowing review of Spiderman 3 (like seventy thousand other armchair critics)?  Where was this particular entity for PIFF?   Did he or she go back to their native land?  Or are they unprepared to write about a film that hasn't been marketed to them in a "Happy Meal.?"
