EzShop Korea.com or, Costco delivered

Review:

Just surfing the web, cruising around and came across this gem. Apparently someone (perhaps another Expat) has come up with a brilliant idea.  It’s a website that basically sells Costco merchandise but they deliver it to your home.

What more can a lazy bum like myself want–especially since i don’t have a car! So, if you are too lazy to hop in the cab, bus, subway, car to go to Costco and buy your own groceries yourself–i urge you to check out ezshopkorea.com

They seem to offer other merchandise from other stores and look to be increasing their selection on a daily basis.

And yes, the site’s in English!

Magic in the Air

Review:

If you allow yourself the opportunity to suspend disbelief, the Busan International Magic Festival is the place to visit.  The eight or so acts from all over the world - although I noticed that both Australia and South America were not represented -  had something for everyone.  Card tricks, explosions, and the requisite dove appearing from a beautiful cape were present, but more importantly was the opportunity to see so many cultures represented enjoying the same type of activity.  Whether it was the oh so cool Slovenian with the zoot suit wowing the English speakers with the Sting song Shape of My Heart, pulling each card out as the lyrics were sung, or the oily smooth American with card trick after card trick, or the Frenchman shifting between foolish and powerfuljuggling, laughing, dancing, each performer's schtick presented the same wow with a different angle.  Hands down, the best act was the Korean man performing the Chinese mask dance in which he leaped and swirled and as you were caught up in the beauty of the movement, the magic of a new mask would suddenly appear to the oohs and aahs of the crowd.  That was worth the price of admission.  The only complaint?  The show closed almost as soon as it opened.
